在此之前，根據烏克蘭政府軍的說法，在停火於20日晚生效後數小時，親俄分離分子就在烏克蘭東部攻擊軍事基地及邊界關卡。

克里姆林宮說，蒲亭（Vladimir Putin）樂見波洛申科（Petro Poroshenko）宣布停火，但認為這項停火計畫不能成為對叛軍的最後通牒，並警告指出，除非採取實際行動讓對立陣營展開對話，否則停火勢必「不可行」且「不實際」。

克里姆林宮引述蒲亭表示，「停火開啟的機會，應該用來促使烏克蘭東部對立各方，展開有意義協商和政治妥協」。

彰化縣李姓國中生昨騎單車發生車禍，當時艷陽高照，一旁檳榔攤的張姓母女，趕緊拿陽傘幫他遮陽，等救護車到來。

今日出版的《自由時報》報導，李姓國中生昨天中午騎腳踏車與轎車擦撞，李摔車倒地哀嚎，臉頰與左手血跡斑斑。在附近賣檳榔的67歲張姓婦人，立即拿出2把陽傘衝出，彎著腰替他遮陽，張婦的女兒正好返家，也趕緊拿陽傘前來協助，還替他打氣說，「忍耐一下，救護車快要來了！」路人紛紛喊讚。（方翊倩／綜合報導）

黑莓公司(Blackberry)將於今年12月推出新款手機Passport，特點是方型機身、大小有如一本護照以及搭載鍵盤。

英國《每日郵報》報導，黑莓新任行政總裁程守宗(John Chen)在公布季度業績時展示Passport手機，其搭載4.5吋、解析度1440 x1440畫素的螢幕，以及觸控式鍵盤。程守宗表示今年9月會在倫敦發表Passport的功能，12月推出市場，但拒絕透露Passport其他細節。
