美國又有兩名醫護人員染上「中東性呼吸道併發症 (MERS，又稱新SARS)」。佛羅里達州奧蘭多市飛利浦斯醫院13日表示，該院兩名在急診室工作的醫護人員，因為與美國第二名感染MERST的患者有接觸，已確認被傳染，並已出現症狀，其中一人已經住院，一人居家隔離。

MERS是一種致命的呼吸道疾病，最早於2012年在中東地區出現病例，病徵與2003年爆發的「非典型肺炎 (SASR)」類似。美國之前已出現2名確診病例。

航警局高雄分局6名偵查員昨天（13日）深夜到嘉義市埋伏，緝捕販毒的2男1女共3名嫌犯，發現嫌犯拿取毒品後要開車脫逃，開1槍打中嫌犯轎車輪胎，嫌犯落網，槍聲驚動居民，有網友ＰＯ臉書指稱發生警匪槍戰；轄區嘉義市警察局長榮派出所說，航警越區辦案，有知會當地警方，不過現場有2輛民眾的機車被擦撞，由員警善後處理，毒犯已由航警押回高雄偵辦。
