民進黨前主席林義雄為核四禁食，宜蘭縣長林聰賢、雲林縣長蘇治芬、嘉義縣長張花冠、台南市長賴清德、高雄巿長陳菊、屏東縣長曹啟鴻23日聲明，希望能和馬英九總統立即面見會談，進行溝通。對此，府方人士表示，建議先與行政院長江宜樺會面，以符現有體制。

民進黨6縣市首長聯合聲明：為保障人民家園與生命、避免台灣面臨毀滅性浩劫，停建核四是全民高度共識，而林義雄先生則為此以一人之性命、承擔兩千三百萬人命運，我們深深感佩；但另一方面，林年事已高，禁食將急速危害他的健康，每分每秒都在與死神拔河中，我們為此深感不捨與憂心。

綠縣市首長認為，馬總統作為國家元首，不應坐視核四威脅國民安全，也撕裂台灣社會；我們懇切期待，能與總統立即面見會談，就停建核四議題進行溝通，謀求此一迫切危機的解消。

對此，府方人士表示，建議先與行政院長江宜樺會面，以符現有體制。
