遭監禁10年　女子勇敢報警自救

美國一名失蹤10年現年25歲的女子終於現蹤，當初綁架她的男友現年41歲的賈西亞（Isidro Garcia）也同時落網。
 
2004年當時年僅15歲受害者，遭男友施暴後強行拐走下落不明，受害者母親報警，卻始終沒有找到她，賈西亞擄走受害者後，將她關在車庫中，並告訴受害者她的家人已經停止尋找她，如果她試圖回家的話，她的家人會被驅逐出境，這一監禁長達10年，期間賈西亞對受害者反覆性侵和施暴，嚴格監控受害者，2007年還強迫受害者和他結婚。
 
警方表示即便受害者有機會逃跑，在長期受虐的狀態下，受害者陷入絕望，失去逃跑的勇氣，但由於近來受害者在臉書上和姊妹取得聯絡，經過家人勸說，受害者才鼓起勇氣報警，將自己從監禁的生活中救出。（周佩萱／綜合外電報導）
