基本上 Samsung Galaxy Mega 這款手機已經大得接近平板，不過 Samsung 似乎將每個尺寸都推出一款裝置立為己任，推出了尺寸再創高峰的 Galaxy W「真·平板手機」。有留意 Samsung 的話都會知道這間公司其實曾在 2011 年推出過一部名字完全一樣，但外觀尺寸都完全不一樣的 Galaxy W。雖然我們已知這部 2014 年版 Galaxy W 的「W」是指 wide screen（寬螢幕），但 Samsung 堅持用一個跟同公司手機一樣的名稱依然不禁令人產生一大堆問號啊。

說回正題吧，這部平板手機雖然有 7 吋螢幕，但解像度就只有 720p，其他重點規格包括 1.2GHz 的四核處理器、16GB 內置儲存量（可擴充）、8MP 主相機、2MP 前置鏡頭，支援 LTE-A。軟體上，它運行 Android 4.3 和具有多視窗功能。規格普通的它要價 499,400 韓元（約 HK$3,015 / NT$11,670），將由南韓 SKT 發售。
