使用過 Android 的人或許對預測輸入的功能非常熟悉，當你輸入一個字時，虛擬鍵盤上方會自動推測並列出你想輸入的字，譬如我輸入「硬」時，鍵盤上面已經出現「硬是要學」完整四個字讓我選擇。在 iOS 8 裡，這個功能稱之為 QuickType，每當你輸入文字時，系統會自動學習你所輸入的字詞，當下次輸入時就會主動預測你要輸入的字，並直接顯示讓您選擇，節省常用字詞重複輸入的時間。
