印度一名52歲婦女拉莎(Latha)，近期進行手術取出腹中重達15.6公斤的巨型子宮腫瘤，醫生推估這顆腫瘤應該已經生長超過20年。

根據英國《每日郵報》(Daily Mail)報導，拉莎原本不知道自己體內有顆這麼大的腫瘤，而是先前因腹部大量出血住院後才發現。

這顆超大型腫瘤也由4名醫生花費3個多小時進行手術才順利取出，為了防止復發，則連同子宮一起切除。醫生馬尼(Mani Mekalai)表示，這顆腫瘤長在子宮外，從大小推估應已生長20年。

拉莎則表示，數年來常覺得呼吸困難，不過也沒放在心上，沒料到體內竟長了一顆重達15.6公斤的腫瘤，而目前拉莎已康復出院。
