金管會預告，將修訂「信用卡業務機構管理辦法」，法規施行後待銀行完成系統建置，便可正式發行「雙幣信用卡」，預計明年初問世。

雙幣信用卡讓用戶在國外刷卡時，可直接從國內外幣帳戶扣款。比如在國內有開日圓帳戶，在日本刷卡便可直接從日圓帳戶扣款，而非從新台幣帳戶兌換成日圓後再予以扣款，優點是能避免匯兌上的風險。

據金管會規畫，目前只開放美元、歐元、日圓三種貨幣，不包括人民幣，發卡組織也不包括中國銀聯。
