聯合國：逾5千萬人因戰亂無家可歸

聯合國難民事務高級專員公署(UNHCR)今天(20日)表示，全球各地已有超過5千萬人因衝突與戰亂而無家可歸，這是第二次世界大戰以後首見，其中又以敘利亞的局勢最為嚴重。
聯合國難民署表示，截至2013年底，約有5,120萬人被迫流離失所，足足比前一年多出600萬人。
該署拉丁美洲區域主管阿法羅(Michelle Alfaro)5月底曾表示，敘利亞的難民總數超過200萬，敘利亞鄰國土耳其、黎巴嫩和約旦無法完全收容。而烏拉圭總統穆西卡(Jose Mujica)表明願意收容100名因內戰而變成孤兒的敘利亞兒童。
聯合國兒童基金會(UNICEF)及世界展望會(World Vision)和拯救兒童基金會(Save the Children)去年底亦曾發布報告指出，敘利亞兒童的教育水準在中東地區史上倒退嚴重，480萬名學齡兒童中有近半數失學。
