最後明星賽 基特盼正面影響

洋基隊長Derek Jeter將出席生涯最後一場明星賽，他在比賽前一天表示，在這特別的時刻裡，希望透過比賽帶給年輕選手一些正面的影響。

不過誰會曉得，站在Jeter旁邊，這些小夥子也許會怯場、不敢接近，Jeter說：「希望大家不要畏懼和我說話，我會儘量保持親切、並做到平易近人那一面。」

明星賽將在台灣時間16日開打，這是Jeter生涯第14次出賽（第9次獲選先發）、生涯最後1次的明星賽，Jeter相當期待這場比賽：「我不知道明天會如何，來到這裡我會試著替球隊拿到勝利，但我不強求，這些年以來，我認為我的情緒被磨練得很好。」

另一方面，國聯將由紅雀巨投Adam Wainwright掛帥先發，談到將與Jeter正面對決，Wainwright深感榮幸：「在大聯盟9年了，我從來沒有與他交手過，心情相當振奮，毫無疑問地他是很棒的游擊手、有史以來最偉大的洋基球員。」

聽到Wainwright的誇獎，Jeter開玩笑地表示，他並沒有很大的野心想要擊中Wainwright的球，隨即又說：「我很享受與這些傢伙同台，包括那些曾經與我交手、表現出色的投手。」

Wainwright本季戰績12勝4敗，防禦率1.83，在國聯勝投榜、防禦率榜皆位居第1。

而美聯將由水手Felix Hernandez迎戰，本季戰績11勝2敗，防禦率2.12。
