美聯社16日報導，6月就任的聯合國緬甸人權狀況特別報告員李亮喜（Yanghee Lee）7月17日至26日將首次赴緬甸訪問。

聯合國聲明表示，韓國裔的李亮喜將造訪緬甸西部和北部，當地種族暴力事件頻傳；她也會走訪近日佛教與穆斯林教徒發生死亡衝突的曼德勒地區。此外，李亮喜將赴首都會晤國會閣員、議員，包括反對黨領袖翁山蘇姬。
