當年炸廣島 美最後駕駛去世

第二次世界大戰美國空軍對日本「長崎」「廣島」投擲原子彈，迫使日本投降，二戰結束；當年參與駕機投彈、至今碩果僅存的駕駛員「范寇克」去世，享年93歲。

被同僚暱稱為「荷蘭人」的「范寇克」當年24 歲，擔任載運原子彈轟炸機的駕駛。1945年8月6號，他駕機對「長崎」「廣島」投下原子彈，造成約14 萬人喪生，這起人道災難頗受歷史學家苛責。

不過，「范寇克」事後表示，他不後悔，因為他的任務促使大戰結束。

「范寇克」的兒子說，他的父親是自然死亡，他說，他父親一直很活躍，雖然被視為戰爭英雄，但在他心中，永遠都是一位很棒的父親。「范寇克」的葬禮排定下星期在賓州舉行。
