煙霧警報器需定檢 兩款產品被召回

【大紀元2014年08月16日訊】8月11日凌晨，南洛杉磯一民宅起火，消防員在走道上發現一名身上有燒燙傷的男性居民，且因吸入過量濃煙失去脈搏，但屋裡的兩個煙霧警報器並沒有發出警告聲。
　　8月13日，美國消費品安全委員會宣布召回一間香港公司在2013到2014年間製造、提供學校、商業建築和公寓等建築使用的煙霧警報器 ESL, Interlogix Hard-Wired Smoke Alarms。消防員提醒民眾要定期檢測警報器是否能正常工作，並更新使用超過10年以上的警報器。
