2014年威廉瓊斯盃16日進入複賽階段，日本在排名賽首戰以80：64輕取約旦，預賽7戰全敗的東瀛軍團明天有機會爭取第5名。

日本在預賽慘敗約旦18分，今天重振旗鼓，全隊飆進9記三分球，11罰全進，只發生5次失誤，堪稱本屆表現最棒一役。

主控富樫勇樹繳出18分、3籃板、5助攻，射手渡邊裕規攻下13分，全隊5人得分雙位數。

「預賽7連敗，確實嚴重影響球隊士氣。」富樫賽後說：「今天是排名賽，心態要有所轉變，當做是個重新的開始。」

除了球員打起精神，有兩位今天特地從日本飛來台灣的「應援團」，雖然人數不多，整場賣命敲鑼打鼓，高喊「Japan！」展現愛國情操。
