北京時間8月23日早間消息，周五下午啟動了一個iphone 5電池更換項目。該公司發現，“很少一部分”iphone 5會突然出現“電池續航時間變短，或需要更頻繁地充電”等問題。

蘋果于2012年9月推出了iphone 5。蘋果表示，受影響的主要為2012年9月至2013年1月售出的產品。蘋果的技術支持網站上提供了一個工具，用戶輸入手機序列號可查詢自己的iphone 5是否存在問題。
