（中央社倫敦24日綜合外電報導）美國記者佛里遭斬首事件引發國際公憤，當局正追緝疑似涉案的英國聖戰士，但他們麻木不仁，還得意誇躍藉由綁架其他西方人質撈得大筆贖金，可以退休好好享受。

英國「每日郵報」網站報導，根據「週日郵報」取的獲釋人質證詞，這幫英國聖戰士公開放話說，他們身懷巨款，可以「到科威特或卡達去退休養老」。

好戰團體伊斯蘭國（Islamic State）上週公布將佛里（James Foley）斬首影片，行凶男子據信是英國人。這名男子講話有倫敦腔，英國媒體稱他為「聖戰士約翰」。

「星期泰晤士報」（Sunday Times）引述英國政府高階消息人士的話說，情報單位軍情五處（MI5）和軍情六處（MI6）已指認出涉嫌殺害佛里的男子，但是消息人士沒有透露嫌犯的姓名。

據週日郵報報導，這些出身英國的聖戰士從開始綁架人質就「意在賺錢」，甚至向人質吹噓他們已有多少錢落袋。

安全機構人士透露，去年至少有4個歐洲國家為了營救11名人質而付出2400萬英鎊（近新台幣12億元）。

他又說，英國和美國人質被視為「不同類別」，因此所以會獅子大開口，對釋放佛里開出8000萬英鎊贖金，意在挑釁。(中央社)
