打擊IS 澳洲提供10架軍機

澳洲總理艾波特(Tony Abbott)今天(14日)表示，針對美國日益加強打擊伊拉克和敘利亞的伊斯蘭國(IS)極端份子，澳洲也準備提供多達10架軍用飛機。

艾波特在發表的聲明中說，澳洲向美國的正式要求作出回應，將對國際同盟作出特定的貢獻。

美國總統歐巴馬(Barack Obama)在上星期宣布要對伊斯蘭國展開更積極的軍事行動。美國已經對伊拉克境內若干選定的目標展開了好幾十次空襲；而在對敘利亞境內的目標發動攻擊之前，美國的軍機和無人飛機正在收集情報。

澳洲將提供8架F/A 18攻擊機，1架E-7A楔尾預警管制機(E-7A Wedgetail Early Warning and Control aircraft)，以及1架KC-30A空中加油運輸機，預定將部署在阿拉伯聯合大公國。
