40歲猛將 再雙創聯盟新紀錄

洋基傳奇隊長基特(Derek Jeter)21日對藍鳥隊的比賽再創紀錄，3局下攻得球隊第1分，這也是他生涯的第1920分，超越「曾經的好友」A-Rod，在大聯盟史上獨居第9。可惜洋基沒能以勝利作為慶祝，最終以3比6敗陣，晉級季後賽的機會愈來愈渺小。

隨著在主場比賽的日子愈來愈少，基特每次上場打擊，都受到紐約球迷熱烈歡呼，而他也以行動回應，3局下先擊出安打，接著對方投手暴投上二壘，再靠著麥肯(Brian McCann)安打，滑回本壘為洋基首開紀錄，也以1比1超前。

這位40歲老將9局下再有表現，二壘安打打進生涯第1303分打點，超越塔哈達(Miguel Tejada)獨居史上第100，也使得他的安打、二壘安打、得分與打點，都至少在前百大，做他的傳奇事蹟再添一頁。不過他的1分打點安打仍然無法幫助球隊逆轉，最後以3分之差落敗。

創下兩項紀錄洋基卻沒能奪勝，難免會留下遺憾，總教練吉拉迪(Joe Girardi)表示，「他再度翻身，而你又看到了。這傢伙的的戰鬥力和自信從來沒停過。很明顯的，那是有感染力的態度。那是你要求球員所應有的態度。」

基特的得分紀錄還能夠繼續累積下去，而要超越第8名穆西爾(Stan Musial)的1949分則有些難度。此外，明年A-Rod完成禁賽即將歸隊，若穩定先發且有不錯的表現，仍有機會超越基特，將原本的第9名要回來；儘管如此基特在紐約球迷的心中，還是遠高於A-Rod。
