聯準會(Fed)主席葉倫在擘劃2015年及以後的貨幣政策時，有意截取葛林斯班的優點，摒棄其缺點。

這位Fed主席與她的同事本月表示，他們願意將失業率壓至低於所謂的自然利率--即葛林斯班於1990年代末期所締造的功績，並未引發太多通貨膨脹。

但葉倫並無意遵循前任主席於2000年代中期所採取的漸進升息策略，這顯示他的策略可能引發了自滿，為導致金融危機的部份原因。

葉倫於9月17日向記者表示，Fed的行動將視經濟如何演變而定。「沒有機械式的方式執行政策，」她說，並表示許多人認為，在2000年代中期，Fed太過依賴固定的策略。
