歐洲股市周三創近三年來最大跌幅，自6月高點下跌了11%。美國零售銷售與製造業數據低於預期，為股市帶來利空。

歐洲Stoxx 600指數大跌3.2%，收於311.36，連續第七天下跌，創2011年以來，最長下跌期間。該指數自10月6日以來，回檔了7.3%。國際貨幣基金(IMF)調降全球經濟成長預測，德國工業生產與投資人信心下降，為利空。歐洲Stoxx 600指數自6月高點下跌了13%。

分析師說，股市氣氛極為疲弱，市場缺少讓人振奮與樂觀的消息。企業季報似乎錯綜。

美國9月零售銷售下降0.3%，預估為下降0.1%，8月為上升0.6%。

紐約Fed 10月製造業指數下降至6.17，預估為20.25。

分析師說，美國零售銷售數據讓人失望。當美國發出警訊，市場的反應便是賣出。

德國DAX-30指數下跌2.9%。

法國CAC-40指數回檔3.6%，英國FTSE-100指數大跌2.8%。
