蛀牙　感冒當心　併發感染恐致命

一名47歲葉先生日前出現喉嚨痛、吞嚥困難等不適，最初以為是感冒而輕忽，幾天後左側臉部與脖子出現紅腫、膿瘍，就醫發現是長期蛀牙引起化膿，細菌侵入頸部淋巴系統所致，所幸手術後切開排膿後已康復。收治案例的台北慈濟醫院耳鼻喉科醫師許原禎表示，深頸部感染在耳鼻喉科門診不算少見，蛀牙、上呼吸道感染均可能併發，在秋冬最為常見，若擴散到縱膈腔，即兩側肺臟中間的部位，死亡率高達８成，提醒民眾勿輕忽呼吸道症狀。
 
此外，許原禎也提醒，深頸部感染較常發生在老年人、糖尿病與腎臟病等免疫力差者，除了留意嚨痛、吞嚥困難等徵兆外，平時也要做好口腔衛生，每次飯後刷牙，並多喝水、維持唾液分泌，減少口腔細菌量，降低感染機會。(王璐華／台北報導)
