悼念新秀 紅雀右外野燈不滅

紅雀車禍身亡的外野手塔維拉斯(Oscar Taveras)，世界大賽第6戰前皇家與巨人進行簡單而莊重的默哀儀式，紅雀主場Busch Stadium雖然沒有比賽，但將右外野的燈點亮，紀念這名英年早逝的好手。

塔維拉斯季後賽結束後，27日返回多明尼加，遭逢車禍意外的事件，震驚棒球界，大聯盟許多球員都紀念塔維拉斯，今天皇家先發范屈拉(Yordano Ventura)將帽子及手套寫下好友名字，表達對他的思念。

紅雀主場Busch Stadium紀年這名好手，特地將他所防守的右外野燈點亮，在一個人都沒有的球場上，這盞燈增添許多哀愁。

紅雀總教練麥錫尼(Mike Matheny)表示：「這是令人傷心的事情，我們家庭失去了一個重要的人物，這是我們紅雀心中永遠的痛。」

在多明尼加開車是相當危險的事情，根據世界衛生組織的報告表示，多明尼加每年平均10萬人就有41.7人死於車禍，世界平均的水準是10萬人18人死亡，在多明尼加車禍是最致命的死亡原因。
