日本福井縣若狹町的漁民發現定置網(在某段時間內設置在一定海域的網狀漁具)捕到一條巨型魷魚。這條巨型魷魚長7.6公尺，已經交由越前松島水族館保管，在進行相關保存處理後將用於展覽。

中新網據日本《讀賣新聞》報導，當地時間24日早晨7時許，若狹町一名酒店經營人員等確認在御神島附近的定置網捕到了這條巨型魷魚。起初魷魚還能游動，但是被撈上漁船不久便死亡。

在交由水族館前，魷魚由附近的漁港保管，許多孩子前來參觀，觸摸感受魷魚。發現魷魚的男子表示，『當地80高齡的老漁民也稱是首次看到這樣的魷魚。』
