（中央社舊金山22日綜合外電報導）谷歌公司（Google）今天宣布，他們研發的自動駕駛車第1輛完成版原型車，即將上路測試。

這家網路巨擘的自動車小組在社交網路Google+貼文說：「假期期間，我們將在測試道路上趴趴走，希望新的1年能在北加州街頭和你們見面。」

加州公司谷歌5月間披露計畫，希望打造省去方向盤等車輛傳統配備的谷歌版自動車，如今這輛原型車的問世，證明計畫已走出紙上談兵階段。

谷歌自動駕駛車企劃負責人厄姆森（Chris Urmson）5月間在部落格貼文說：「它們不會有方向盤，不會有油門或煞車踏板…因為不需要。我們的軟體和感應器會攬下這所有工作。」

谷歌今天並未披露原型車的技術細節。

谷歌今年初表示，這輛靠電池動力的自動車最高時速可達40公里，設計主要考量實用性而非豪華性。
