根據高盛集團周三發布的報告指出，因數據顯示歐元區落入通貨緊縮，歐洲央行可能於本月，即擴大量化寬鬆措施(QE)。

高盛分析師Dirk Schumacher在提供給投資人的報告中說：「歐元區12月通貨膨脹率意外下降，及通貨膨脹預期再度減緩，可能增加了歐洲央行執委會有所反應的急迫性，」

Schumacher預期，將增加5000億至1兆歐元，聚焦在購買主權債務。

數據顯示，在能源價格疲弱的拖累下，歐元區12月物價下降0.2%。

歐洲央行可能於1月22日政策會議結束後，宣布擴大QE。
