（中央社東京6日綜合外電報導）澳洲總理艾波特（Tony Abbott）今天說，他對與日本的自由貿易談判感到「樂觀」，但不確定兩國何時能達成協議。艾波特昨天抵達日本，將於8日離境。

法新社報導，澳洲和日本部長昨天會談5小時，但對澳洲要求日本大幅降低牛肉進口關稅仍有歧見，未能達成協議。

艾波特對記者說：「我對自由貿易談判感到樂觀，但談判很艱難。」他明天將與日本首相安倍晉三會談。

詢及兩國能否在他8日離境前達成協議，他說：「我希望如此，但不敢說。」

「仍有若干最後事項必須解決，雖然我們想很快談成結果，但我們也要一個令人滿意的結果。」

艾波特這趟出訪東亞，在日本之後將訪問南韓和中國大陸。(中央社)
