肯州郵差偷懶摧毀郵件 被判刑半年

郵資一再調漲已經令人詬病的聯邦郵政總局 (USPS)，近日再因肯塔基州出現兩名懶郵差，背上罵名。道森泉市的34歲郵差莫爾斯(William "Brent" Morse)為了早早完工下班，竟摧毀、隱藏、延後投遞至少4萬5900個郵件，遭法官判刑半年，再軟禁六個月，賠償1萬4808.01元。喬治城一名姓名不詳的郵差則被人拍攝到懶得下車、亂扔收件人的包裹的畫面，在媒體出醜。

莫爾斯是已有五年資歷的郵務員，他坦承2011年3月至2013年3月30日之間，至少摧毀一千個郵件，另將至少4萬4900郵件藏在他已故母親的住所及租用的儲存設施。
