阿里山森鐵爭取列入世界遺產

嘉義縣長張花冠與亞洲遺產鐵道旅遊組織（以下簡稱APHTRO）共同簽署阿里山森林鐵道申列世界遺產書。英國上議院友台小組主席同時也是英國遺產鐵道組織主席的Lord Faulkner of Worcester表示，將盡一切努力協助將阿里山森鐵列入世界遺產。
 
張花冠、林管處長廖一光等人在鹿滿車站舉行歡迎記者會，APHTRO一行10餘人上午搭乘拖載有國寶級25號蒸汽火車頭的森鐵檜木車廂抵達鹿滿車站，張花冠並致贈檜木達人張福昇所燒烙、以25號機關車頭為主題的檜木匾額。
 
張花冠說，阿里山森林鐵道列入台灣世界遺產潛力點以來，即為各界認定是台灣最具申遺的代表，因缺乏國際經驗及受限於國際政治因素，台灣僅能透過民間團體加入世界性組織，並結合公部門資源與協助，才有突破障礙、提高申請世界遺產的可能性，因此，今年APHTRO的年會對森鐵具有相當重要的意義。（李宗祐／嘉義報導）
