8月24日辦退休儀式

〔自由時報記者倪婉君／綜合報導〕陪伴王建民、郭泓志達成大聯盟輝煌紀錄的傳奇教頭托瑞，執掌洋基兵符所穿的6號，昨天確定在8月引退，成為洋基第17個退休的偉大背號。

7月底正式進名人堂

7月就要滿74歲的托瑞，今年肯定有難忘的「紀念之夏」，他在7月底正式進棒球名人堂，洋基昨又宣布，8月24日要為他的6號舉辦退休儀式。

帶領洋基4度奪冠

托瑞在洋基12年留下1173勝767敗，勝率高達6成，並率洋基王朝拿下4次世界大賽冠軍，而在逾千勝中，在洋基曾連兩年19勝的建仔貢獻46勝。

建仔在托瑞2007年底從洋基轉執道奇兵符時，曾寫信感謝托瑞，托瑞在2008年出版的「賽局贏家：托瑞的洋基管理學」時，建仔也特地寫序，「謝謝托瑞總教練，沒有您給我機會，就沒有今天的我。」

只是托瑞當年離開洋基並不愉快，他與已故的大老闆史坦布瑞納理念不合，也拒絕洋基的降薪合約（從年薪750萬降至500萬美元），後來出版「我在洋基的日子」時，更曾批洋基總經理凱許曼「背叛」。

基特引退後 2號也將退休

如今洋基願將托瑞的背號退休，也算正式化解當年心結，而目前洋基的個位數背號，只剩隊長基特的2號未退休，但隨基特在季後引退後，1至9號可望全部退休。
