24歲自閉喑啞女子　醫院內遭護理員虐打

美國密西根州一名護理人員，涉嫌虐打24歲罹患自閉症的喑啞女病人，遭到逮捕，受害人家屬計劃控告疑犯與肇事的護理院。

受害人格賽特(Vera Gossett)是名先天喑啞又罹患自閉症的病人，她的母親因為行動不便無法照顧女兒，過去7年都安排格賽特住在底特律一間護理院內，希望由專人照顧女兒的起居飲食，沒想到上星期得知女兒遭到虐打，她覺得非常傷心又氣憤，認為護理院出賣了自己。

格賽特遭到49歲嫌犯虐打的片段，是被護理中心的另一名職員暗中拍下，再交由院長報警處理，警方已拘捕嫌犯，並關閉出事的院舍進行調查，院友則獲得安排，轉到其他院舍暫住。同事表示，嫌犯除了用棍子施襲外，還向受害人潑水，暫時並不知道她的動機；而格賽特的母親已向法院控告嫌犯和出事的院舍。（於慶中／綜合外電報導）
