521台北捷運江子翠站發生恐怖攻擊事件，東海大學環工系大二男學生鄭捷持2把長刀，在車廂內揮舞砍殺乘客，造成28人死傷，其中有4人死亡、輕傷13人、重傷11人。有民眾竟然在臉書留言，也想在「高雄捷運來一下」，警方鎖定IP逮到一名無業男子，男子向警方供稱因同情鄭捷才會貼文，檢方諭令以新台幣3萬元交保。

在北捷發生砍殺事件之後，有網友在臉書上留言：「高雄捷運來一下」，甚至鎖定瑞豐夜市，及金鑽夜市。雖然警方研判是開玩笑，但是警方仍不敢大意，立刻鎖定IP準備逮人。

經警方循線追查，逮捕到一名無業男子，警方到他住家時，男子還在玩線上遊戲，男子向警方供稱，覺得民眾沒有同情鄭捷的遭遇，他覺得鄭捷是生病的人，社會應該給他同情、關心，才會在網路上貼文，男子被警方訊問後依恐嚇公眾罪送辦，檢方訊後以3萬元交保。
