探測火星　NASA啟動新測試

美國太空總署(NASA)準備發射一個形狀似飛碟的裝置進入地球大氣層，這次試驗飛行的目的是將大型載具降落火星。

數十年來，小型火星車利用同一降落傘設計降落火星，但如果太空總署想把太空人送上火星，就需要更大和更堅固的降落傘。 如果天氣許可，一個高空氣球將於3日在夏威夷考愛島把名為低密度超音速減速器(LDSD)的降落傘送到太平洋上空37公里，然後讓它掉下。

降落傘將發射火箭，並爬升至55公里，這個高度的環境跟火星稀薄的大氣層相似。 太空總署計劃明年進行更多的飛行測試，然後決定是否在未來遠征火星計劃中利用這種新型降落傘，確保比好奇號火星車更大的探測器安全降落火星。（國際中心╱綜合外電報導）
