百歲中山公園　屏東人發起正名「阿猴」

歷史悠久的屏東市中山公園明年登上百年園齡，由屏東縣愛鄉協會、屏東縣阿緱文學會和崇蘭社區發展協會共同發起「屏東中山公園改阿猴公園」正名運動，今天下午將在阿猴媽祖廟(屏東慈鳳宮)前場集結，向媽祖焚香禀報啟動正名的理想，正式步入行動階段。

屏東縣愛鄉協會指出，早期以阿緱(猴)為名的人事物不勝枚舉，例如1907年南昌糖廠改名為「台糖製糖會社阿緱工場」；1918年日本政府在屏東中山公園建「阿緱神社」。 明年正是屏東公園滿一百周歲重大節日，此刻正是發起正名的最佳時機。（洪振生／屏東報導）
