協調以巴停火 凱瑞再赴中東

美國國務卿凱瑞(John Kerry)將重返中東地區，重新推動以色列和巴勒斯坦派系哈瑪斯(Hamas)之間停火，以巴在8日爆發新一波衝突之後，平民死亡的人數在上個週末大幅升高。

凱瑞在今天(21日)清晨出發前往埃及首都開羅(Cairo)，將加入各國的外交努力，以恢復2012年11月所達成的停火協議。

美聯社指出，凱瑞將要求哈瑪斯組織接受埃及最近提出的停火建議，以終結將近2個星期來的戰鬥。埃及提出建議的當時，有430多名巴勒斯坦人以及20多名以色列人死亡。不過，目前巴勒斯坦的死亡人數已經超過500人。

美國歐巴馬政府，包括凱瑞，都嚴厲抨擊哈瑪斯對以色列發射火箭攻擊，以及其他挑釁行動，比方在以巴邊界挖地道等；但是對以色列攻擊加薩走廊，造成平民和兒童死亡的批評聲調，卻已比先前降低。

美國國務院發言人莎琪(Jen Psaki)表示，美國和國際夥伴對以巴進一步升高風險，以及更多無辜的生命死亡，都深表關切。
