前英國首相布萊爾是「聯合國中東特使」，在以色列和加薩的衝突已造成加薩上千人死亡之際，他過去整個星期卻樂在英國，周五晚上還砸五萬鎊 (台幣250萬元)，在他價值600萬鎊的豪宅，為老婆雪莉60歲生日慶生，盡邀英國黨政工商顯要與會，以加薩血腥衝突為背景，盡歡一場。評論家說，「這老兄應該在中東」。他不必急著為老婆辦「驚奇慶生」，因為布萊爾老婆的生日是9月23日。
