高雄發生重大氣爆，街頭滿目瘡痍，彷彿電影《風暴》中炸毀中環的災情，令人觸目心驚，《風暴》主角劉德華昨表達關切：「聽到這消息很難過，希望高雄的朋友一切平安、大家要多小心。」

林志玲昨說：「祈禱平安，怎麼會發生？不可置信的一夜？恐慌又懼怕的一夜！高雄的朋友們，為您們深深的祈禱。」張惠妹在臉書寫下：「願逝者安息，傷者早日康復，天佑台灣，天佑高雄。」羅志祥也說：「天佑高雄的朋友，救難、醫護人員辛苦了！祝福大家平安！」

田馥甄感嘆災難頻傳，「只能不停的禱告，祈求上天讓留在世上的人平安有勇氣，讓離開的人們安息。」楊丞琳說：「高雄的朋友一切平安，希望不要再有任何萬一發生。」范瑋琪祈求天父保守眷顧美麗的高雄，郭富城、杜德偉、房祖名、王力宏、張韶涵、蔡健雅、許茹芸等人皆在微博為高雄祈福。
