有鑑於高雄氣爆事件，造成重大傷亡災情，中國信託慈善基金會董事長辜仲諒宣布，個人捐出新台幣1000萬元予高雄市政府81氣爆專戶，希望協助救災及災後重建工作，讓災區民眾盡早恢復正常生活。

中國信託金融控股公司(2891-TW)第一時間已率先捐款新台幣1000萬元協助救災。辜家友人表示，辜仲諒多年來從事公益慈善事業，此次辜仲諒由媒體報導上得知，高雄氣爆事件災情非常嚴重，因此個人立即捐出新台幣1000萬元，希望拋磚引玉，共同協助救災工作。
