身為新科狀元，Andrew Wiggins了解，會有很多人特別注意他，不過，在堪薩斯大學打球的日子，讓他早就習慣「成為焦點」的感覺。

「在堪薩斯，大家都把籃球員，當作搖滾巨星。」Wiggins說。

堪薩斯大學教頭Bill Self，一天前爆料：「Wiggins其實也比較想去灰狼。」記者找上Wiggins求證，得到一個「場面話」答案。

「任何地方、任何隊伍，我都願意去。」Wiggins說。

騎士隊在今年選秀會上，用狀元籤選進Wiggins，但傳出拿他去換灰狼「愛神」Kevin Love。上禮拜消息來源宣稱，交易已成，但受限聯盟規定，因此不能公佈。

聯盟規定，簽下新秀合約的球員，必須要在簽約後一個月，才能被交易。因此，灰狼、騎士最快得到8月23日，才能發表交易案。

「無論事情如何演變，都非我能控制，」Wiggins說，「我不會擔心這件事。」
