「新進弟兄」如何迅速成為部隊中流砥柱？很簡單，加入重建中的76人隊，菜鳥也能一夜之間變學長。這正是新人王Michael Carter-Williams碰上的事。

76人隊幾乎把陣中比較資深的球員，都交易出去，Thaddeus Young也即將被換到灰狼，使得22歲的Carter-Williams，必須扛起球隊勝敗責任。

但顯然Carter-Williams相當享受這樣的角色，「無論陣中還有誰在，我都得擔任領袖，把球隊凝聚在一起。」

上賽季Carter-Williams出賽70場，成績是16.7分6.3助攻6.2籃板1.9抄截。76人戰績19勝63敗，全聯盟倒數第二，只比爐主公鹿好，兩隊有4場差距。

休季期間，Carter-Williams跑去動刀、治療肩膀，目前還沒百分之百復原，不過應該可以趕上下個月底開始的季前訓練營。
