伊波拉藥物 至今3萬人需要

（法新社巴黎20日電） 根據1份今天公布的科學分析報告，在西非這波伊波拉病毒疫情中，至今有多達3萬人需要治療與預防藥物。這份研究目的是量化治療藥物和疫苗的需求量。

目前尚未有核可上市的伊波拉治療藥物，仍有多種藥物正在研發當中。世界衛生組織（WHO）上週宣布可以將實驗藥物用在患者身上。

牛津大學流行病學家布雷迪（Oliver Brady）在「自然」（Nature）期刊公布1項指南，讓藥廠和各國監管機關判定潛在藥物需求量。

布雷迪寫道：「需求量可能比許多人想像得要高。」

布雷迪說：「舉例來說，我們分析顯示，即使在保守估計的情況下，目前多達3萬人需要治療或預防藥物。」

根據報告，這個數值「大幅超過」自1976年以來爆發的22次伊波拉疫情中任何1次。

布雷迪告訴法新社，這項估計數值是依據感染患者人數、與患者曾近距離接觸的人數，以及醫護人員、葬儀人員與有暴露病毒風險的非必要支援人士。

在估計的3萬人當中，迄今約2250人感染、需要治療，其餘人是被視為「風險高到」需要提供預防疫苗。

布雷迪表示，他的估計「只是需求量的粗略近似值」，是依據過去伊波拉病毒的疫情擴散模式。相較於現在，過去疫情侷限在較小區域擴散。

他說：「目前很清楚的是，疫情傳染還要再好一段時間才會告一段落，也尚未出現緩和跡象。」（譯者：中央社陳怡君）
