歐巴馬下周二 將會國會領袖

美國國會消息人士5日表示，歐巴馬總統將在9日召集4位國會領袖開會，商討伊斯蘭國(Islamic State，IS)危機問題。

美國國會議員在經過5個星期的8月休會後，將於8日返回國會開議。消息人士告訴路透社，這場會晤將安排在9日下午3點15分(台灣時間10日清晨3點15分)進行。

根據報導，參與會議的國會領袖包括，參議院多數黨(民主黨)領袖瑞德(Harry Reid)、參議院少數黨(共和黨)領袖麥康奈(Mitch McConnell)、共和黨籍的眾議院議長貝納(John Boehner)，以及眾議院少數黨領袖裴洛西(Nancy Pelosi)。

雖然會議的議題尚未對外透露，但預料將聚焦遜尼派激進團體「伊斯蘭國」危機。

「伊斯蘭國」在伊拉克和敘利亞攻城略地，加上兩位美國記者遭斬首，引發國會和美國民眾的憤怒。共和、民主兩黨國會議員都已要求歐巴馬，必須提出對抗「伊斯蘭國」的具體計畫。
