中華民國駐薩爾瓦多大使李新穎於當地時間10日赴薩APOPA市中華民國學校，與該校校長畢內達主持捐贈3台華碩平板電腦，及旅薩華僑總會、中華總商會及台灣商會另捐贈4台桌上型電腦儀式。

僑務諮詢委員白德傳、華僑總會會長李競一、台灣商會會長劉立夫、該會監事長劉至哲及該校師生共計400餘人在場觀禮。

李新穎致詞表示，他2月和旅薩僑領首次參訪中華民國學校，共同捐贈一批文具及玩具慶祝華裔日。這次再次結合旅薩僑團及華碩文教基金會力量，共同捐贈資訊設備，以縮短數位資訊落差。

畢內達（Rolando Antonio Pineda）致詞表示，萬分感謝中華民國政府、台灣旅薩僑團以及華碩文教基金會捐贈數位科技設備予該校，以充實其電腦教室資訊設備。尤其網路無國界，不僅拓展學童視野，更可透過網路更認識台灣。

他還感謝華碩文教基金會中南美洲代表趙國良，致力執行該會縮短數位落差計畫，使開發中國家孩童有更完善的教學資源，特別是在薩爾瓦多共捐贈了94台平板電腦。(中央社)
