鄭蘋如，色戒女主人公原型，生於1917年，中日混血。為上海名媛，當年上海第一大畫報『良友畫報』曾將其作為封面女郎。

根據中新網報導，上海淪陷後，秘密加入中統，利用其得天獨厚的條件，混跡於日偽人員當中，獲取情報。後參與暗殺日偽特務頭子丁默邨，而暴露身份，被捕，一口咬定為情所困，雇凶殺人，成為當年上海灘重大花邊新聞之一。

1940年2月，被秘密處決於滬西中山路旁的一片荒地，連中3槍，時年23歲。
