阿基師因代言產品「染餿」下跪道歉，但他說「這是負責任的表現，絕不會落淚」，在餿水油事件爆發前，接受中視《改變的起點》專訪，談到太太不禁難過落下男兒淚，這是他首次在鏡頭前痛哭，哭到不能自已。

阿基師說，太太跟在他身邊吃了很多苦，34年前他身上揹數百萬債務，太太因煩惱壓力大，半夜瞞著他偷偷躲起來喝酒，他發現太太借酒澆愁，相當不捨，夫妻最後還抱頭痛哭，互說抱歉。

阿基師老婆。阿基師老婆。阿基師說：「夫妻本是同林鳥，大難來時各自飛，偏偏太太是隻笨鳥，不管自己發生再大的風波，這隻笨鳥永遠守著他，從來沒飛走過！」阿基師想到他們一路共患難的辛酸，忍不住落淚，還跟導播說對不起，錄影一度中斷。

他平時不浪漫，也鮮少對太太吐露愛意，節目最後透過鏡頭對太太說：「愛妳喔！」一說完馬上臉紅，「老婆看到一定會吐出來的，不要播啦！」
