余英時讚太陽花學運 及香港占中

唐獎漢學獎得主余英時今天在中研院與青年學生進行「與漢學大師對談」，會中他表示，民主社會的言論、集會、思想表達自由，表現在公民對政府政策的抗爭，而抗爭方式應有人文修養、不應暴力。

余英時表示，台灣太陽花學運與香港學生占領中環行動，前者和平理性退出立院，後者打出「愛與和平」口號，且兩地學生互相聲援，令他非常感動。

余英時今天在演講時大談人文修養與民主，他說，中國五四運動引入西方社會重要的民主與科學價值，兩者共同支點就是開放的態度。不過，現今社會科技廣受大家接受，已不用在提倡，但「更應注重的是民主社會與人文修養」。

余英時說，民主社會也應該是有修養的社會；但有禮貌、客氣，並不等同不辨是非，若不同意政府政策，可以「有文化、有人文修養地抗爭」。
