台中市部分地區因為養豬戶突然中止契約而致廚餘無法去化，暫時運到大里區掩埋。台中市環保局今天說，目前已順利標售。

環保局表示，8月份以來中市大雅區、北區、南屯區、西屯區、東南區、北屯區、太平區及大里區等區陸續發生養豬戶片面中止契約事件，嚴重影響廚餘去化管道，因而有民眾反映，環保局大里區清潔隊將養豬戶片面中止契約的廚餘以掩埋方式處理，質疑不符環保。

環保局經向養豬戶了解近日來一連串片面中止契約事件的原因後說，由於最近氣候炎熱，小豬仔大量死亡，導致廚餘需求量銳減所致，造成總計約520公噸廚餘需緊急處理，使得台中市現有設計日處理量30公噸的堆肥場嚴重負荷。

環保局表示，由於近日天氣炎熱，廚餘只要放置1到2日，便會腐敗產生臭味，影響環境衛生；因一時找不到可協助去化的養豬戶，不得不採取緊急措施，將養豬戶片面中止契約期間3日的廚餘約24公噸，暫時運至大里掩埋場暫置，留待日後做為堆肥使用。

環保局強調，目前大里區廚餘已順利完成標售，去化已無問題，同時已積極加速外埔堆肥廠營運，初步規劃以日處理量100噸為目標，預計1年後即可試運轉，完工後，台中市的廚餘將能夠完全妥善處理。(中央社)
