外媒錯翻馬談話 外交部抗議

（中央社記者唐佩君台北29日電）外交部今天表示，總統馬英九接受卡達半島電視台專訪，強調台灣是「整個華人社會」最能夠實踐民主的地方，但半島電視台字幕翻譯錯誤成是「中國」唯一，將抗議並要求說明。

據媒體報導，馬總統日前接受卡達半島電視台專訪，訪問中談論到香港議題，以國語提到「台灣是整個華人社會最能夠實踐民主的地方」，半島電視英文字幕竟翻譯成「Taiwan is the only place in 『China』where we are able to practice democracy」（台灣是「中國」唯一能實踐民主的地方）而引發爭議。

外交部發言人高安表示，馬總統不僅以中文回答，事後外交部為謹慎起見，還提供給半島電視台的英文翻譯稿，都呈現馬總統回答是「台灣整個華人社會」，因此半島電視台播出時的翻譯字幕是明顯錯誤。

高安說，外交部將立刻請駐沙烏地阿拉伯代表處就近向卡達半島電視台總部表達抗議，同時要求書面說明。1030929
