美韓研究所：北韓完成大型火箭發射場

美國約翰霍普金斯大學的美韓研究所(US-Korea Institute)1日表示，在經過1年的建築工事後，北韓已經完成新的火箭發射場，可以進行更大型火箭的發射工作。

美韓研究所指出，北韓的西海(Sohae)衛星發射場，現在已經可以進行更大型、酬載更大、更長程的火箭發射。

雖然目前並沒有跡象顯示北韓正準備再度發射火箭，但美韓研究所分析指出，這已經加深了對北韓飛彈計畫的疑慮。

北韓曾在2012年12月從西海衛星發射場發射銀河3號火箭(Unha-3)，成功將它送到衛星軌道上。當時引發國際社會強烈譴責，但北韓堅稱，這是一項和平的太空任務。而美國則是擔心，北韓已經接近完成射程可達美國本土的飛彈。
