台南市東區市議員候選人蔡旺詮從政以來，致力推動生態環保與教育人文工作，此次競選爭取連任市議員的選舉過程也以環保為第一，除日前在呂秀蓮前副總統授旗下成立Ka達車車隊掃街拜票，大量減少旗幟製作外，連旗座也自製並相當有環保概念。

蔡旺詮表示，以回收的油漆鐵罐當主角，罐入水泥後再插上一截水管，就是一個環保旗座，不僅環保又省錢，跟買現成旗座的價差至少3倍以上。

環保旗座雖然在搬運移動上較為不便，但如果大家在小東西上能為環境保護工作盡點心力，相信整個環保工作會更有成果。

隨著選舉投票日逼近，市議員候選人蔡旺詮東區支持者或店家都主動向競選總部要求旗幟、旗座，放置家門口或店門口，要為蔡旺詮宣傳助選。

由於旗座需求量增多，有環保概念的候選人蔡旺詮於是請工作人員前往資源回收場去找買油漆鐵罐，自行攪拌水泥，配上一截水管，水泥風乾凝固後即完成環保旗座。
