「怪力男」Giancarlo Stanton今年球季尾聲被觸身球打中臉部，進行重建手術之後，他出席領取漢克阿倫獎時表示，「我想要正常的休季時間，不要錯過任何一個環節。」

今年9月馬林魚出戰釀酒人時，Stanton被速球直接砸中臉部，畫面相當怵目驚心，而他也因此結束今年賽季。

因為臉部骨折進行重建手術，當時Stanton還雙眼淤血發黑，經過1個月多的休息，世界大賽第4戰他出席領取漢克阿倫獎，整個人看起來復原良好。

「復健是很冗長的過程，只能在家裡附近閒晃，我沒有能力離開太遠。」Stanton說，「現在感覺已經好多了，我想要回到正常的休季時間，不要錯過任何一個環節。」

漢克阿倫獎是表揚該聯盟進攻最佳表現的球員，國聯獲獎的是Stanton，美聯為Mike Trout。今年怪力男出賽145場，打擊三圍0.288/0.395/0.555(打擊率/上壘率/長打率)，37支全壘打105分打點。
